Boston 1-ups the Brewers 5-4.  Rafael Devers 2-4 with 2 RBI and Xander Bogaerts goes 2-4 with 3 RBI.  Collin McHugh gives up 4 runs over 7 innings for win number 4.

Tampa takes out the Yankees 7-1.  Austin Meadows hits his 8th home run and Tyler Glasnow allows just the 1 run in 6 innings to move to 6-2.  Gerrit Cole tosses 7 innings striking out 11 and giving up 2 runs in the loss.

Houston crushes the Orioles 11-3.  Carlos Correa with his 13th and George Springer adds his 16th.

The Blue Jays top the Rangers 10-3 behind Vladimir Guerrero Jr.’s 10th blast of the year.  Tanner Roark with a rare victory and is now 2-9.

Ryan O’Hearn crushes his 10th home run and Whit Merrifield rocks the Golden Sombrero as the Royals come out on top of the Indians 7-1.  Brad Keller gives up 1 run over 6 innings for his 5th win.

Nelson Cruz hits number 17 and Max Kepler trots around the bases for the 22nd time.  Mike Trout hits a 3-run bomb (20) in the 9th to force some free baseball and Michael Hermosillo and Andrelton Simmons take it from there with a couple RBI singles and the Angels beat the Twins 6-5.

The Tigers make short work of the White Sox today 7-2.  Travis Demeritte with his 6th long ball and Matthew Boyd goes 8 strong giving up 2 runs on the way to win number 4.

Yolmer Sanchez goes 3-3 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI as the Giants take out the A’s 5-3.  Khris Davis back in the lineup and goes 1-3 and is now currently hitting .272.

Kris Bryant knocks his 12th out of the park in the Cubs’ victory over the Reds 3-1.  Jon Lester tosses 7 innings of shutout ball for his 4th W.

Garrett Cooper hits a walk-off RBI double as Miami sneaks by the Mariners 5-4.  Sixto Sanchez with his first career start goes 7 1/3 giving up just a JP Crawford solo shot in the no-decision.

The Braves shut out the Phillies 2-0.  Kyle Wright throws the first 7 2/3 striking out 9 in his 6th victory.

Adam Eaton smashes his 5th home run as Washington keeps the Mets at bay 6-2.  Mike Leake pitches a complete game for his first victory in a Nationals’ uni.

Pittsburgh gets solo shots from Jacob Stallings and Jarrod Dyson to beat the Cardinals 2-1.  Trevor Williams picks up win number 6 by tossing 7 innings of 1-run ball.

Fernando Tatis Jr. with number 13 and the Padres get a couple of RBI singles in the 10th to end the Diamondbacks’ day 7-5.

And finally, Ryan McMahon with his 4th home run and he add a 9th inning RBI singles as well as the Rockies stun the Dodgers again 5-4.

Transactionally Speaking:

The Nationals release Aaron Sanchez;

The White Sox sign Tyler Clippard to a minor league deal; and

The Marlins claim Tomas Nido off of waivers.

Standings:

Tampa has a 6 game lead on the Red Sox;

Minnesota is 8 1/2 games ahead of KC;

LA has 6 games on Houston;

Braves extend to 3 1/2 games over the Nationals;

Cardinals have a tight 1 1/2 games on Pittsburgh; and

LA is a comfortable 8 games in front of San Diego.

Major League Leaders:

Adam Eaton still leads in average at .371;

Cody Bellinger leads in home runs (24), RBI (66) and runs scored (67);

Mallex Smith tops the majors with 30 steals;

Carlos Martinez has quite the lead in ERA at 1.62;

Jack Flaherty the only pitcher with 11 wins;

Gerrit Cole still the strikeout leader at 128;

Walker Buehler has a WHIP of .89; and

Kenley Jansen and Will Smith both have 16 saves.

Awards:

David Peralta is your National League Player of the Week by going 13-27 with 2 home runs and 8 RBI; and

Austin Meadows takes the American League honor going 15-26 with 3 dingers and 6 RBI.
