Buxton steals 2nd base, takes third on an error by Gio Urshela (10) and eventually scores on a Nelson Cruz sac fly. 1 hit, 1 run, and that was ALL of the Minnesota offense today AND THAT WAS ENOUGH! The Yankees struggled to get just 3 hits off of Jake Odorizzi through 6 2/3 as he picks up win number 5. Gerrit Cole had a great day fanning 13 over 8 1/3 giving up just the 1 hit and 1 unearned run in the tough luck loss.
The Royals win streak wasn’t a streak after all and ends at 1 as the Red Sox batter them 13-3. Rafael Devers 3-5 with his 14th home run and 4 RBI and Jose Peraza adds a 3-6 day with 3 RBI and 3 runs scored. Eduardo Rodriguez gives up 10 hits, including Jorge Soler’s 15th jack, through 8 innings to pick up win number 7.
Brendan McKay gives up 2 runs over 7 2/3 to get his 4th win as the Rays top the Blue Jays 4-2.
Shed Long Jr. goes 4-5 and JP Crawford hits a bases loaded triple in Seattle’s 7-6 victory over the Tigers.
Houston’s still home and home means victory for them as they take out the A’s 5-4. Carlos Correa (12), Michael Brantley (9) and Abraham Toro (2) all blast balls out of the park today. Khris Davis 1-4 to get down to .279.
Willie Calhoun has 2 hits and Kyle Gibson gives up 3 hits in 8 innings of shutout work as the Rangers blank the Nationals 2-0.

Some guy named Cody Bellinger goes 2-5 with a grand slam (24) and 7 RBI as the Dodgers pummel the Rockies 13-2. Julio Urias goes to 4-0 giving up 2 runs over 8 innings.
It took 11 innings for the Mets to score a run in their game against the Phillies. Brandon Nimmo drives in Amed Rosario as the Mets win a 1-0 shutout. Rick Porcello pitches the first 8 2/3 giving up just 3 hits. Jake Arrieta pulled after just 9 pitches with a mild shoulder strain.
Francisco Mejia (5) and Manny Machado (15) go yard as San Diego 3-hits the Diamondbacks and win 5-1.
