And we’re off again!

Leading it off, the Royals hang a 10 spot on the White Sox today.  Adalberto Mondesi 3 for 6 with 3 RBI and 2 stolen bases highlights Kansas City’s win over Chicago 10-3.

The O’s 3-hit the Angels today with a 3-0 final score.  Austin Hayes and Jose Rondon both go yard.  Rookie Keyvius Sampson picks up his first victory by pitching the first 5 2/3 of this one.

Jordan Luplow hits his 6th home run and it happens in the bottom of the 19th!  John Axford pitches the final four frames of this marathon to help Cleveland win over the A’s 5-3.

The Yankees get back on the winning track, taking down the Tigers 4-1.  Luke Voit gets some ink going 2 for 4 with an RBI and 2 runs scored.  AJ Happ goes 8 2/3 giving up just 1 run while Aroldis Chapman strikes out the last batter to lock this one up.

Eduardo Rodriguez’s win streak is now up to 5 as he pitches the Red Sox by the Blue Jays 6-5.  Ryan Brasier tosses a bumpy 9th to pick up his first save.  Rafael Devers and Jackie Bradley Jr. each knocking balls out of the yard.

The Minnesota bats remain ablaze as they crush the Mariners 10-2.  Max Kepler gives Joey Gallo some company in the 11 home run club as he blasts 2 in this one.  Kenta Maeda moves to 3 and 0 with a 5 inning performance where he gives up 2 runs.

Charlie Morton with the line of the night going 8 full innings giving up 2 hits, no runs, and whiffing 7 as the Rays beat the Astros 4-1.

Mike Moustakas made his one hit count.  A first inning grand slam off of Adam Wainwright put this one out of the reach as the Reds top the Cardinals 5-1.  Tyler Mahle goes 8 2/3 giving up a solo shot from Matt Carpenter for St Louis’ lone run.

Juan Soto hits a 2-run shot in the 8th to help Washington beat the Dodgers 5-4.  Cody Bellinger hits his 10th and Mookie Betts hits his 6th in the loss.

Colin Moran hits a pinch-hit walk-off home run in the 10th for the only run in this one as the Pirates beat the Brewers 1-0.  Trevor Williams leaves the game after 3 2/3.  Details to come regarding the extent of his injury.

The Marlins didn’t have an answer for Jake Marisnick as he goes 4 for 4 with a home run and 2 RBI.  Marcus Stroman pitches well enough for the W going 7 1/3 giving up 3 runs as the Mets beat the Marlins by a score of 10-4.

The Braves get 12 hits…and ALL singles!  They plate 2 in the 9th to take out the Diamondbacks 4-3.  Ender inciarte 2 for 4 with 3 RBI here.

Zach Davies doesn’t give the Cubs a chance in this one.  Davies tosses 8 innings giving up 2 hits and one unearned run as the Padres beat the Cubs 4-1.

Billy Hamilton was the man in the Giants’ 5-3 victory over the Rockies.  Hamilton goes 1 for 4 with 2 RBI, 2 runs scored, and even swiped a bag.  Nolan Arenado 2 for 4 with his 6th home run in the loss.

With Citizens Bank Park sopping wet, the Phillies/Rangers game was put on hold.  It won’t be made up until August 11.

Significant (or insignificant depending on your view) transactions:

The White Sox activate Michael Kopech;

The Met activate Jed Lowrie;

The Twins designate Tyler Clippard for assignment and put him on waivers; and

The Padres put Brian Dozier on the 10 day injured list.
