Starting off, Oakland scores 1 in the 9th to ruin Cleveland’s day 5-4. The two Matts, Chapman and Olson, go deep in this one.
Daniel Norris improves to 3 and 0 as he pitches 5 2/3 giving up just 1 earned run as the Tigers top the Yankees 7-4. Cameron Maybin goes 4 for 5 including his first home run.
Alex Verdugo hits his second home run in 4 games with the Red Sox as he helps lift his team over the Blue Jays 7-6. Tanner Houck’s second performance not nearly as good as his first giving up 5 earned over 4 innings.
Miguel Sano crushes his 7th home run as the Twins keep on winning. This time by a score of 8-2 over the Mariners. Homer Bailey moves to 4-1 going 7 1/3 giving up 2 runs and striking out 7. Homer Bailey? Really? Yes THAT Homer Bailey.
Roberto Osuna gives up a 9th inning blast to Hunter Renfroe to make this one interesting, but it wasn’t enough to get the Rays the victory. They fall 5-4 to the Astros today. Kyle Tucker hits his 4th and Zack Grienke goes to 2 and 1 tossing 8 innings giving up 2 while fanning 9.
The Royals go into Chicago and slap around the White Sox 9-3. Young center fielder, Brett Phillips, getting 3 hits in 4 at bats with 3 RBI.
Trey Mancini and Ryan Mountcastle both go deep TWICE in an O’s win over the Angels 9-1.
Joey Gallo takes over sole possession of the Major League home run lead by hitting 2 more to give him 11 on the year. He drove in 3 of the Rangers’ 5 runs as they beat the Phillies 5-3. Mike Minor pitching 8 innings giving up nary a run and striking out 5 to even his record at 2 and 2.
The Pirates have their way with the Brewers 9-2. Adam Frazier walks twice and goes 2 for 2 with his 2nd long ball of the season. If you need to find some shade, perhaps you can meet up with Avisail Garcia and get under his golden sombrero.
If you come across Anibal Sanchez, don’t ask him how his day was. Sanchez gives up 9 hits and 7 runs over 2 innings as the Dodgers pummel the Nationals 20-6. Mookie Betts accounted for 4 of Sanchez’s 7 runs by hitting a second inning grand slam and driving in 5 on the day.
The Mets edge the Marlins 5-4. Brandon Nimmo with 2 shots in this one.
Atlanta scores 5 in the 4th and that was enough to take down Arizona by a final of 5-3. Ozzie Albies with another 3 hit performance and Kyle Wright gets his 3rd win going 6 1/3 giving up 2.
Manny Machado hits 2 home runs giving him a total of 8 as the Padres beat the Cubs 7-1. Chris Paddack collects his third win giving up just 3 hits over 5 1/3.
Luis Castillo and friends hold the Cardinals to two hits in a Reds 2-0 victory. Castillo gives up 1 hit and 1 walk over 6 to get his 2nd win of the year. Freddy Galvis provides the offense with his 4th round tripper.
The Giants beat the Rockies 4-2. Jeff Samardzja finally coming away with his first victory by throwing 8 1/3 giving up 2 and striking out 3.

The A’s place AJ Puk on the 15 day injured list;
The Dodgers activate Julio Urias;
The Twins sign Hanley Ramirez to a minor league deal. Didn’t they JUST cut him? Must be teaching him a lesson; and
The Indians put Carlos Carrasco on the 15 day injured list.
