Rookie Brendan McKay has a bounce-back performance giving up 1 run in 6 1/3 innings while striking out 5 as the Rays put up 5 to Cleveland’s 1.
Rangers first baseman, Ronald Guzman, hits an RBI single off of Roberto Osuna in the bottom of the 9th to end the Astros’ day 4-3.
Max Kepler and Miguel Sanu both hit their 4th home runs of the season as the Twins top the White Sox 10-6.
The A’s beat the Yankees 5-3. Gleyber Torres becomes the Major League RBI leader in this one with numbers 17 and 18.
The Red Sox put an end to their 3 game slide as Boston pitchers toss a 4-hit shutout over the Mariners. JD Martinez hits his 4th long ball of the season as Boston throws up 7 runs on the day. Ryan Weber pitches the first 8 while Colten Brewer comes in to sew this one up.
Kris Bryant found his power in the second inning for his first shot of the season as the Cubs send the Cardinals packing 4-1. Jose Quintana goes 6 giving up one and lowering his ERA to 2.40.
The lowly Marlins beat the Braves for the second time in two days. This time by a score of 2-1. 22 year old rookie pitcher Trevor Rogers pitches 7 innings and adding 5 K’s.
The Mets showed up in the 8th inning putting six across the plate as they beat the Brewers 8-3. It wasn’t good enough to earn him the W, but former Cy Young winner, Rick Porcello, had another quality start going 6 2/3’s giving up 3 runs in this one.
The Rockies scored 4 runs in the 8th and never looked back winning 8-4 over Arizona. Arenado and Dahl both hitting their 3rd home runs.
There was a Brian Dozier sighting in San Diego today as the Pad’s shutout the Giants 4-0. Dozier’s 3-run blast in the 6th inning was his first in a Padres uniform.
Cody Bellinger steps into the box in the 6th inning and tells Joe Ross “YOU ARE NOT BETTER THAN ME” as he deposits Ross’ pitch into the cheap seats for a Major League tying 6th home run of the season as the Dodgers tell the Nationals to go home 5-2.
The Reds/Phillies game has been rescheduled due to bad weather. They’ll play two tomorrow.
