Daniel Robertson drives in Brandon Lowe in the bottom of the 13th as the Rays take this one 9-8. Hunter Renfroe 4 for 6 and throws a laser to Mike Zunino as he tags out leadoff man DJ Stewart at home.
In the battle of the big boys, Kansas City isn’t intimidated by the Dodgers. Pinch-hitter, Cam Gallagher, hits an 8th inning 3-run shot off of Alex Wood as the Royals beat LA 5-3.
Rafael Devers hits double digits in the home run category with a solo shot in the 5th and Alex Verdugo adds 2 doubles and 4 RBI as the Red Sox take out the Rangers 10-2. Collin McHugh with a complete game 4-hitter to move himself to 3-0 with a 4.89 ERA. Shades of Derek Lowe?
In the battle of futility, someone’s gotta win, and today that someone was the Blue Jays. They top the White Sox 6-1. Derek Fisher hits his 3rd home run and Rowdy Tellez with his 1st is all the offense Hyun-jin Ryu needs as he goes 7 2/3 giving up 1 run on 3 hits while striking out exactly ZERO batters!
George Springer deposits an Adam Ottavino pitch into the stands in the bottom of the 10th as the Astros squeak by the Yankees 6-5. Giancarlo Stanton with his 13th long ball in the loss.
David Fletcher with a 3-4 2 RBI day in the Angels’ 7-2 victory over the A’s. The Khris Davis implosion watch sees him with another 0-4 day to see his average drop below .300. If only someone saw this coming!
